Summer village n' shopping

I'm having a wonderful time with my family and Peter this week :) We're in the summer village I always spend my holidays in, in the north of Catalonia (Costa Brava area). He's loving the place so far! We have great and fresh food, warm but windy weather (so it's not super sticky) and many things to do. For example, a BBQ! ^_^ Last weekend my cousin came back from Regensburg (she lives in Bayern, Germany with her boyfriend since he works there as an engineer), so they brought back some authentic German sausages, yumymum!

Also big pieces of bacon, hehehehehe…

My cousin had some sausages left though! :P So today in the morning we had a typical Bavarian breakfast: Weisswurst & HÄndlmaier sauce (something like a sweet mustard)… Simply delicious! I just had three because I told myself to stop, otherwise I would've eaten the 20 of them XD

Later today we went to Palamós, the village next to mine (and bigger, haha) to celebrate my parent's 24th Anniversary. I just love this place, it looked so quiet and beautiful today…!

We had lunch at a rather fancy restaurant for the occasion :) We had watermelon gazpacho as a starter…

Our classic and mandatory "Pa amb tomàquet" (as good Catalans :B)

And finally our main courses :) my dad, Pete, my cousin's boyfriend and I ordered "arroz negro" (rice with squid ink), one of the best Spanish dishes along with "paella" (with very similar ingredients too).

Last but not least, my wild berries sorbet <3 So tasty but I couldn't finish it… I was too full x_x

Pete and I after our good but heavy meal ^_^ (I don't have my iron with me these days so I forgot about my bangs hahaha).

Then we walked around the village for a bit and we went back to the campsite we're in.

Now I want to show you guys the last things I bought myself, since this last Saturday I went to a flea market and I bought myself some new stuff:

This black lace jacket I fell in love with <3 I'm a lace lover so when I saw it I couldn't hesitate to buy it x_x

Those homemade painted sneakers were only 4€! I don't know if the drawing will fade with water, rain or other products, so I'll try to be careful when I wear them!

I got this green vintage dress from my aunt. She bought me a purse I didn't like for my birthday, so I went back to the store and I changed it for something I actually like. When I saw it there I didn't think it twice… I grabbed the dress, found my size and straight to the fitting room! Luckily it looked great, yay! I've always wanted a dress like this ^_^

And oh! I bought myself those flats in a friend's Asos Marketplace website (sorry for the super-bad quality >_<). Laia is a well-known blogger in Catalonia (and Spain I bet too!) who sells her clothes on this website. I thought those are totally my style so I bought them the next day I saw, them haha! Fortunately I know Laia in person, and since we're almost neighbors I went to her place to pick em up (I saved shipping money, yay!). You totally should check out her blog if you like fashion :)

And this is all by now! I'm having a great time with my family and boyfriend, so I guess I can't complain at all. I know this time will be over eventually, but I should be positive about it and see how much I'm enjoying my summer vacation this year. It'll be hard once he's back home but well… We all have things to do this upcoming semester :) Hope things go as good as expected!

Love,

Summer! Summer goodies + July snail mail update

What does "summer" mean to you? What comes up to your head when you hear the word "summer"? I'd say summer is definitely the best season of the year! Even though you get bitten by mosquitoes all the time, the heat is sticky and unpleasant and everything else... Most of us are also on holidays, we have time to sleep and relax, we can go to the beach with friends, we can enjoy a refreshing beverage in a café... It's just, great! So I just made a list of things that I automatically relate with summer. Do we share any of these? :)

One of the reasons why I also like summer it's (obviously) because it's my birthday! XD This year I got really nice stuff from my family and friends... :

I finally got a Macbook Air, yay! :) I payed half of it and my parents payed the other half (it wasn't a bad deal after all!). Also I bought myself a new purse (fluor red, my favorite color!) and a floral/Brit-style travel documents folder  <:

My penpal bestie Anna sent me this Estée Lauder Mad Men blush (I don't use make-up, but I swear to God once I move to Korea I'll start using it, haha!) and Raquel sent me this postcard-shaped bag with tons of postcards on it ^_^ Finally, I bought myself a travel notebook in Natura to write about my upcoming adventures in Asia ♥

Finally Mariona got me a pair of Hello Kitty pajama pants, Esther made a homemade pink purse for me, and my aunt got me a Kath Kidston MacBook case!

Yay, I'm becoming a KH collector recently, haha XD I have her wallpaper...

Also on my phone...

A notebook Anna sent me...

Her theme on Chrome... lol!

I'm so glad I have these friends, really ^_^ They mean so much to me they don't even know <3 Thanks buddies!

Now time for a snail mail update! As I said before, I'm cutting off with penpalling temporarily since I'll be moving to Seoul in a week, so I don't want my incoming to get lost in the way and everything else. But I still have some stuff I got recently that I want to share with you all:

Corey from Singapore told me about his trip to the Philippines, and she also sent me a keychain from there ^_^

I wrote Kelly's reply on my way back to Paris It's always nice hearing about her, we just turned our first year penpalling!

Reika as always, wrote the whole letter in Japanese :) So happy to have a native speaker who you can practice the language with!

Nilafa is my newest penpal from the UK <: This is her first letter, hope I get her back very soon! Hope we can get close as time goes by.

My sweetest and loyal Michelle from Idaho (US) told me she just got hired by Starbucks! I envy her so much, omg... T_T''

Postcards from Dasvini in Malaysia and Mel from Singapore

Stinky Tofu postcard from Wang Ting and Spring Festival postcard from Nye, both from China :D

My last postcard from Miyuki (Japan) until I'm settled in Korea, Matryoshka postcard from Yaroslava (Russia): My favourites! ♥ And beautiful postcard from Emma (Indonesia) ^_^

And this is all by now, buddies! I might update this very soon, since I have some plans in mind with my friends and family this weekend. Hope you keep reading my blog and please, don't hesitate to comment or give me some feedback! I'll be more than pleased to reply you:)

Warm hugs from,

CL

Oh Paris, oh Paris...

Sorry for this super late post! Yes, I know it's been a long time I don't update this, and I blme myself for not doing it! But honestly I'm living in a fairytale right now haha, so I barely step into my place anymore. My boyfriend Peter came to visit two weeks ago and we're always going up and down, visiting places, eating out and such... I'm having a great time with him, I don't want to imagine howit's gonna be my life without him again! He lives in my place at the moment, so it's going to be tough going back to my routine :\

Back to fairytales and rainbows (haha), last week I visited Paris with him :) We both had visited the city before, but separately, so this time we bought a cheap flight  fromanairlineIdon'treccomend (ahem ahem) and we spent 3 days there ^_^

(I dipdyed my hair by the way! ^_^ Can you guys tell? Haha)

Louvre museum

We had Indian food our first night! Curry frog legs for sharing, curry lamb with basmati rice for Pete and lamb biryani for me!

The next day we went to the famous shopping mall Lafayette. It's rather a luxury mall just like Harrods, but it's way more impressive in the inside *0* Isn't that crystal dome beautiful?

I was a simple Spanish peasant there lol, but Pete took a picture of me with a CHANEL bag, hahaha XD (He bought perfumes for his family).

Later that day we decided to spend the money in a real & fancy French dinner. So we went to Île-Saint-Louis, an island in the middle of the Seine to have a good meal. Before that we walked around the tiny island, known for its beautiful tiny shops & bars.

We ate some super-duper delicious ice creams before dinner ^_^ Paris is definitely not an ice-cream country but omg, those were definitely worth it! <3 I picked peach and Pete picked praliné.amaretto

Our fancy French dinner: Salad as a starter,Beef bourguignon for Pete and salmon in champagne sauce for me.

Then we walked around for a little bit more, and we shared a sugar crÊpe :)

Beautiful sunset from the island <3 *sigh*

The third day was also our last day, awww :( We got up early because we wanted to see many things before leaving to the airport. We started with a fancy French breakfast ^_^ I bought a "croque monsieur" and Pete bought the most creamy and delicious "quiche lorraine" we have ever had *-*

You see how thick and creamy it is?wergthyjukjhgfreds

His quiche was utterly delicious but I picked something lighter for breakfast ^-^

Then we went straight to the must of Paris... The worldwide-known Eiffel Tower ^_^

There was a very quite and beautiful park in the sorroundings of the monument,  with security guards walking around the area (unlike the way to the metro, which was full of scammers and trickers playing threee-card monte and stuff like that :\

Finally we said goodbye to Paris eating the most delicious foreign food in the city... Vietnamese food! :) Since Vietnam was (obviously) a French colony in the old times, there are many Viet inmigrants in the city, so you can find a wide variety of food from the country, no matter if it's Tonkinese or Saigonese!

The first day we had phở for lunch, so this time we went for "Bún riêu cua" <3 I really missed GOOD Vietnamese food!

The visit overall was amazing: Last time I went it was for a concert, so I barely had time to visit the whole city. Fortunately this time I visited with my loved one, and we had more time to do sightseeing and wander around :) We had a trouble with a guy on the metro though, he was disguised as part of the metro stuff and he sold us a one-way ticket thinking we were buying a 3-day travelcard... But well! I guess it's one of the bad parts of being a tourist, right? Next time we'll be more careful :)

It was a pleasure travelling with my boyfriend. We had a great time together and we didn't have a restricted schedule (we just improvised the whole time). I'm proud to say we make a great team, hehe ^_^ He's going to be here for 3 weeks more, so I'll keep updating this with our adventures around Europe! Next stop... Madrid!

Love,

CL

Ihwa Mural Village

Hello sweethearts! Recently many people have been told to stop with this blog hiatus of mine haha, so I'm back again with my blog posts...
